Discover the essence of Mid-Century Modern architecture during Tucson Modernism Week's exclusive Home Tour. Immerse yourself in six timeless creations of renowned Tucson architects and designers from the Mid-Century era. This exceptional tour showcases iconic homes, including those owned by the architects themselves, such as Nicholas Sakellar and Arthur B. Darton. You'll also encounter the visionary designs of Arthur T. Brown and experience the quintessential mid-century upper-middle-class suburban ranch house style. Don't miss this opportunity to step back in time and explore these architectural gems.

The 12th Annual Tucson Modernism Week Home Tour is an opportunity to visit some of Tucson’s most interesting homes of the Modernist and Atomic Era.

The tour is self-directed with docents at each home. Participants drive themselves and can visit the modernist properties anytime from 11 – 3.

There are 6 Houses on the 2023 Modernism Tour. The Margaret Sanger House designed by Arthur Brown was last open to the public a decade ago. None of the other houses have been included on Tucson Modernism Week past tours.

Ticket-Maps with home locations will only be available the day of the tour, Sunday November 12, starting at 10:50am.

Ticket-Map Pick Up Location: Tucson Modernism Week Headquarters - Hirsh's Shoes / The Sunshine Shop, 2934 E. Broadway Blvd.

You must first come to Tucson Modernism Week Headquarters the day of the tour to pick up your map, tour bracelet and shoe covers.

The Tucson Modernism Week Home Tour is made possible through the support of our generous sponsors and volunteers.

As these are private homes, our docents will be as accommodating as possible and offer assistance, but most parts of the tour are not wheelchair accessible. This year's tour involves walking up inclines, steps,  uneven surfaces and a few long driveways. Please dress accordingly.

No inside photography. No food or drinks inside the homes. There is no admission to the houses without a tour bracelet and shoe covers.
