Desert Icons — Tucson’s Timeless Homes
Step inside some of Tucson’s most iconic historic residences at the Tucson Historic Preservation Foundation’s 2026 Home Tour — our most exciting architectural showcase of the year.
This year’s tour features an exceptional collection of homes across Tucson, from the historic landscapes of Fort Lowell to the refined desert estates of Colonia Solana and other iconic neighborhoods. Together, these properties highlight the rich diversity of Tucson residential design and the enduring appeal of desert living.
Guests will experience outstanding examples ranging from authentic Sonoran vernacular adobe to elegant Spanish Colonial and Pueblo Revival interpretations that reimagined historic traditions for modern life. Each stop on the tour offers a rare opportunity to step inside private residences and discover the craftsmanship, history, and regional character that make Tucson architecture so distinctive.
Whether you are a longtime preservation supporter, an architecture enthusiast, or simply curious about Tucson’s historic neighborhoods, the Home Tour is a memorable way to explore the city’s built heritage.
