Join the Tucson Historic Preservation Foundation and Modernism Week for an awesome/chic/utterly fabulous evening cocktail party in one of Tucson’s outstanding modernist designed private homes.
The Lockard Residence, built in 1968, is a two-story, concrete block rectilinear building
designed by William Kirby Lockard for his family. The house is characterized by a
symmetrical design punctuated by rectilinear fenestration. The living room extends
the length of the house and fills the two-story spatial volume. Lockard used a similar
approach to geometry in his other buildings during this period.
This is a rare opportunity to put on your best mid-century fashion and experience a wonderful architectural treasure while toasting to good design.
The address for this event will be e-mailed to ticket purchasers prior to the event.
Proceeds from this event support Tucson Modernism Week.
