Join Tucson mid-century historian Carlos Lozano for an in depth look at Tucson’s neon history. In this visually rich presentation, learn to recognize design trends in 20th century signage by examining dozens of beautiful vintage and rare images of the Old Pueblo’s neon.
Carlos Lozano served for 8 years on the Tucson-Pima County Historical Commission and chaired the subcommittee which amended the sign code to allow and encourage preservation of vintage signs. He has studied neon glassblowing and illuminated sculpture at The Crucible in Oakland CA. He is founder of VanishingTucson.com, an interactive website with over 1000 members.
