Chris Evans | Annie Nequette

Throughout 2010 Chris Evans and Annie Nequette led the identification, mapping and inventory of over 100 local, mid-century modern residential master‑pieces by Tucson’s most notable, national and international recognized Modern Architects.  During the year long project the group visited each of the homes, photographing notable details, and educated owners.  The list was culled down to the 50 most significant with the highest degree on integrity.  MAPP promoted the project, posted information online and worked with AIA to open a series of the properties to the public during the annual AIA tour - MAPP members stationed at each property educated the public about the importance of preserving Tucson’s Modern Architecture.   The project uncovered many exceptional and undocumented Modern works in and around Tucson.
